FRESH EMBRYO TRANSFER WITH
IVF & SENSIBLE SURROGACY

Fresh Embryo Transfer can be achieved using the intended parents’ own egg and sperm. However is many cases donated sperm or eggs are also used. The time required for the parents to remain in Mumbai depends on the specifics of each case.

Surrogacy with the father’s sperm and donated eggs:
In the case of a Fresh Embryo Transfer, if the father intends to donate the sperm, he will need to be in Mumbai for a maximum of five days to complete two rounds of sperm donation.

We can also ship sperm samples internationally, potentially saving time and costs!

While the father makes his donation, the egg donor undergoes extraction and the surrogate is prepared for the implantation. After 3 to 5 days (depending upon the doctor and embryologist) the implantation takes place, after which the Intended parents are free to return home.

Following implantation, IVF doctors continue to monitor the surrogate for fourteen days. After the 2 weeks, a pregnancy test (also known as the BHCG) is performed to confirm that the IVF resulted in pregnancy.

Sensible Surrogacy will stay in close connection to the intended parents by email and phone. As soon as the pregnancy is confirmed, you will be contacted with the happy news!

Surrogacy with the father’s sperm and intended mother’s eggs:
Women who will use their own eggs for the surrogacy process should expect to be in Mumbai for about 15 days for fertility treatments and to collect the eggs. In addition, there are another 3 to 4 weeks of fertility treatments that happen at home.

Mothers need to be in the clinic a few days prior to their menses so that the clinic can run some tests along with a physical examination. Stimulation of the woman’s ovaries (Gonadotropin Injections) will then be started at the beginning of the IM's menses (determined after doing a blood hormonal test).

The mother will be required to take two injections daily for approx. 10 days within which multiple mature eggs will have formed in both ovaries. The Ovum collection will be approx. on day 13, and the Embryo Transfer into the surrogate on day 15.

You can then leave Mumbai soon after the Embryo Transfer.
